Seed Sowing Guide:
Seedling:
Fill up the seedling tray or seedling pots with Baba Seedling Soil. Use a finger to gently make 2-3 small holes, put in seeds and cover with a thin layer of soil.
During seedling stage, put under shaded area and make sure to water thoroughly daily. When there is sprouting, move it to an area with direct sunlight.
♥♥ Extra Tip: Before putting in seeds into soil or before transplant, you may want to water the seedling mix or potting mix first. This is to ensure the potting mix gets enough moisture and prevent the plants from getting dehydrated.
Transplanting:
When the seedling grows 3-4 leaves (around 7-14 days after germination), the seedling is ready for transplant.
- Prepare a pot of suitable size, such as Baba TP-260, RD-260, EG-260, or 537 Volcano Box (minimum depth is 200mm).
- Fill up the planting pot with Baba Super 10 Organic Planting Soil, and make holes to prepare for transplant. Maintain a 10-15cm distance between each hole.
- Take out the seedling from seedling pots, and put into the hole. Press gently on surrounding soil, to help the seedling stay firm. Keep one seedling in one hole for better harvest.
♥♥ Extra Tip: Cosmos Mix must be thoroughly watered immediately after transplanting.
Fertilizing:
Put Mr Ganick 549 Organic Flower Bloom Fertilizer on the 7th day after transplant. After that, repeat fertilizing every week for a month.
Draw a line between plants, or dig a small hole beside plants, and put in Mr Ganick 549 Organic Flower Bloom Fertilizer, cover the fertilizer with a thin layer of soil. Water after fertilizing.
Watering:
Cosmos Mix usually needs watering before the soil is completely dry. When watering, the soil must be thoroughly moist until a small amount of water seeps from the bottom of the pot.
Thorough watering every morning is recommended.
♥♥ Extra Tip: Be careful to avoid waterlogging in the pot, which will hinder the growth of young roots and affect plant growth.
Flowering:
The flowering period is approximately 55-60 days after transplanting.
♥♥ Extra tip: When Cosmos Mix seedlings germinate, sunlight exposure must be increased gradually, with careful watering.
